Wilderness Trail Kentucky Straight Wheated Bourbon is our flagship whiskey, born out of our burning desire to challenge traditional bourbon-making techniques. We crafted this distinctive bourbon with less corn and a higher percentage of “middle grains” to showcase the subtleties and nuances of grain flavor.
Long story short, this bourbon is how we made a name for ourselves. When we launched it, it was the first bottled-in-bond wheated sweet mash bourbon released since Prohibition.

FLAVOR PROFILE
- Color: Rich, unfiltered deep amber
- Nose: Sweet vanilla and charred oak
- Taste: Caramel and vanilla, leading to a cordial meeting of oak, cinnamon, and blood orange with a palate-coating mouthfeel
- Finish: Long and sweet, with a finish of oak spices, toffee, and dark fruits
